NNDDC - Orica Scholarship
The Orica Scholarship aims to support First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun students pursuing excellence in Earth Sciences at the post-secondary level. Valued at $5,000, this scholarship is a testament to Orica's commitment to fostering educational opportunities alongside their partner organizations. The scholarship is open to students in any year of their academic journey, encompassing both college and university levels.
Specifically tailored for individuals enrolled in Earth Sciences programs, the Orica Scholarship embraces a broad spectrum of disciplines, including Geology, Geotechnical, Environmental, Chemical, and Mine Engineering studies. This inclusive approach reflects Orica's recognition of the diverse avenues within Earth Sciences that contribute to responsible mining practices.
As the scholarship is exclusively designated for FNNND students, it serves as a means to amplify Indigenous voices in the field. Beyond financial assistance, the scholarship carries a deeper narrative – it symbolizes a collective stride towards a future marked by sustainable and ecologically informed mining practices. Scholarship Details

Amount: $5,000 CAD awarded to two (2) recipients

Eligibility Criteria: Must be a First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun Citizen enrolled in a post-secondary program in Earth Sciences, including, but not limited to Geology, Geotechnical, Environmental, Chemical, or Mine Engineering studies. Applicants may be in any year of study in either college or university.

Photo of the applicant (with permission for it to be used in NNDDC or Orica digital or print communication publications).
