Tehcho Wind Project
Building a Stronger Energy Future Together
The Tehcho Wind Project is a community-led clean energy initiative being explored by Na-Cho Nyäk Dun Development Corporation (NNDDC) to determine whether wind energy could become part of a more sustainable and reliable energy future for the Traditional Territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun.
The project is currently in the feasibility study stage, meaning no decision has been made to build a wind farm. The current work focuses on understanding the wind resource, environmental considerations, engineering requirements, and community priorities to determine whether a project at Tehcho would be technically, environmentally, economically, and culturally appropriate.
Throughout this process, community engagement remains at the heart of the project. Feedback from NND Citizens and local residents will help shape every stage of development.
