NNDDC is committed to active community reinvestment. The story of our profits don’t end with revenue reporting, we are determined to share how we participate in meaningful development across the Yukon through both our business activities and reinvestment strategies. NNDDC has a strong legacy of investing alongside our neighbouring Nations in initiatives that don’t just uplift NND, but all Yukon First Nations. As we reflect back on 2023, we’ve been proud to continue this legacy. One of the ways we accomplish this is through our community sponsorships, in which we are excited to share an update on.

With a dedication to sportsmanship, NNDDC contributed $750 to Team Wallingham, and $750  to Team Scoffin aiding each of their competitive  curling journeys. Best of luck to both teams  as they compete, showcasing the spirit of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun.

Recognizing the importance of community celebrations, NNDDC provided $500 in support of the Mayo Fireman's Ball, held on December 2, 2023. NNDDC is proud to have had the opportunity to support this celebrated annual holiday event.

In the spirit of giving during the 2023 holiday season, NNDDC allocated $2,500 in support of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun's Christmas Hamper Drive. This generous contribution aims to spread joy and alleviate challenges faced by community members, embodying the spirit of compassion and solidarity that is reflected within Doóli law  and the festive season.

This fiscal year, NNDDC has also sponsored the following:

  • 3 NNDDC Community Leader Awards - Yukon First Nations Graduation $500 each

  • Adaka Cultural Festival $5,000

  • Every Student, Every Day $520

  • Arctic Inspiration Prize $5,000

  • Walking Warriors For the Lost Children $750

  • Travel costs for Citizen attendance at: the Arctic Indigenous Investment Conference (2)

  • Travel costs for Citizen attendance at: FN NND’s  presentation to Canada's Senate (1)

  • Gifts for YukonU - Mayo Campus’ Sewing Rediscovery graduates

NNDDC remains dedicated to uplifting its community through meaningful sponsorships, recognizing the profound impact of collective and sustainable support on the well-being and success of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun. We’re actively working at formalizing our sponsorship structure, but if there is an event or initiative that you’re seeking sponsorship for, please email admin@nnddc.ca with the requested amount.
